Cask conditioned at Cockney Pub, Århus
Black color; creamy head. It has some roasted malt aroma, and yeasty dough in the beginning, some hop later. It has a reasonably smooth mouthfeel; the flavor is quite balanced in the front, but quickly gets dominated too much by the roasted malt, that is not extreme, but still too aggressive for my liking. The final has also too much roasted bitterness, and a sourish touch from it. Correctly brewed, but not in my target.

[cask at Reading beer festival] Deep, rich, sweet fruitiness, red wine, some sharpness comes through, with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Pretty darn good!

(Cask at St. Urho’s Pub on 2008-02-14) Deep brown. Nose has some weird but not unpleasant hints of cowhouse. Dry palate. Roasted malts, hop bitterness and sweetness in taste. A bit dull. Long aftertaste.

Cask. Deep brown/rubyish red colour with small beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some mild notes of wood and smoke. Flavour is quite much the same, balanced up with some flowery hops.

Almost opaque ruby red color, small tan head. Coffee and ash in the nose. Very roasted malty flavor. Some tar also. Thin mouthfeel, otherwise quite drinkable cask porter. Some hops in the aftertaste.
