Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear orange-gold with a bubbly, white head. The nose holds ripe citrus, melon, impressions of dry chili pepper. Meridian sweet flavour with a compelling, lightly smoky chili slice, more ripening citrus fruits, some oily pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with a little piney resin, moderate chili burn in the throat, more ripening citrus, orange, melon, tangerine rind. For a chili IPA, it’s top shelf.
