Cask at GBBF 2008 Wonderful black colour with next to no head. Nice woody roastiness, but a touch thin some nice dusty hops, liquorice, its really quite pleasant but lacking in the final push that would have made it very good.

Dark brown with tiny beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, coffee and caramel notes. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, coffee and chocolate notes. Ends sweet.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter (malt bitter) with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (010508)
