11/9/8/8/10/9

Cloudy brown beer, thick white head. Soft creamy and frothy texture. Sweet malt with just a touch of marmite. Soft semi dry finish. Sumptuos!

The 33cl bottle is 1 year old; it pours a wonderful dark amber color with a huge rocky head; too much carbonation. Caramel aroma, slightly oxidised, nutty and soapy. The body is medium-weak, it has a very simple caramel flavor, low bitterness and light alcohol punch. Too simple.

Bottle. Pours amber brown with a three finger beige head. Nutty roast caramel aroma. Less than med. body with mild carbonation. Quite dry, slightly sour, darkish fruits and treacle. Quite different beer.

Bottle in Paris, 2006. Very dark brown, nearly black. Substantial light tan head that last a long time and leaves a ring. Strong aroma of roasted malts, yeast. Some grassy, earthy tones as well. A touch nutty. Decent roasted flavor, rather sour. Very earthy. Grainy and nutty. Finish is a touch sour, with roasted nuts. A touch of alcohol as well. A nice beer, original. Not fabulous, but pretty good. Well balanced. Seems pretty sufficiently hopped as well, although hops are not at the forefront of the taste.

33cl bottle: Pours dark amber/brown with a lovely creamy head & lacings. Nose is roasted malts, dark fruits, yeast & sour barnyard which is also visible while tasting. Very dusty & odd! Appearantly a fresh bottle so I assume that this is the way it is supposed to taste! Smooth & sticky palate. Overall very disappointing!

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a tan mushroom foarming cream head, slowly creeped back down the side of the glass. The aroma is toasted malts hints that it might contain a sugary caramel also. Taste is a roasted to burnt malt with some dark fruits and yet still hints of caramel (not overwhelming as others). The finish is dry with a slight acidic burn. Happy 30th B-Day me!

75 cL bottle. Pours clear amber to brown with dense tan head. Light malty into light roasted aroma, minor bitterhops note. Flavour starts caramel malty, shows a light roasted note and more caramel. Light caramel/chocolate smoothness. Minor acidic note following before a distinct bitterness takes over into the finish.
