Super deep dark brown coloured body with an oily slick on top without any real head at all and an almost fully opaque, 95 per cent deep dark brown glow - strong! Aroma of molasses, oak, cedar, lactose, vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate, raisins and a good deal of icing sugar picked up at the end as well along with a hint of coffee - super strong in the nose. Full-bodied; Super dense and rich, very robust mouthful at first with a lot of vanilla, grains and bitterness up front with some of the molasses coming through, but the bourbon and warmth from the alcohol then follows up and provides some context and complexity, but the richness really is pungent right away. Aftertaste shows a lot of the sweetness of course, a bit less of the malts and graininess combined with some coffee notes, but the sugars and alcohol really come out to play and it's noticeable throughout. Overall, a strong, robust, enjoyable but a bit cloying beer with a ton of sugars and alcohol that make this nice, but showing perhaps too much or if I could bottle/can this up and age it for a few years, it would reach 'prime', at least in my book. Nice to sample now, especially on tap! I sampled this eight ounce snifter on draught at Mekong [Restaurant] in Richmond, Virginia on 20-February-2022 with my wife and three kids while eating great food and having even better beer for US$7,00. 8,3,8,3,15

Black with a medium sized foamy brown head. Overwhelmingly sweet with chocolate cake, vanilla icing. Very long finish. Full bodied and creamy
