Cask at the Bishops Arms (Gustav Adolfs Torg) Malmo. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly white head. The aroma is weak malt light red berry fruit. The flavour is weak bitter with a watery light hop spice palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. No sweetness at all in the palate and lacks flavour & body. Way too light for a winter ale.

Draught @ Pikkulintu
Nice, smoky aroma with malty tones and berries. Also some odd sulphur tones. Flavour has smoked wood, malty tones, some berries and ashy tones. Confusing; smoky tones are nice but malty ones are not. Also some peaty tones, licorice and hebal notes occur at the end of the glass.

Bottled 500ml. -Reddish/brown coloured, medium sized tan head, light roasty nose. Roasted malt, pleasant notes of spices and hint of caramel with mild herbal presence in the finish. Bit messy but all in all ok brew.

Bottle at ChrisO Holiday Tasting, London - thanks to Ronny. Vintage 2012. Pours clear brown with a fine, beige cream head. Wet brown bread nose with hints of ripe bananas. Medium sweet flavor with more brown bread, light smoke and ham. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light dry finish wtih toasty brown bread, well-cooked ham, mellow smoke. Decent stuff overall. (3.8)

Bottle at ChrisO Holiday Tasting, London - thanks to Ronny. Vintage 2011. Pours clear brown with a fine, beige foam head. Dry brown bread nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with more dry brown bread, light ham, mellow leaves, faint spice. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Light sweet finish with toasty brown bread, some brown sugar, mellow spices. OK. I guess I liked the 2012 better. (3.5)

Bottle at ChrisO tasting, thanks to Ronny, 30/12/12. 2012 vintage - parallel taste with 2011. Notes in book but scored identically. Lightly hazed dark chestnut brown with a thin off white head that escapes to the edge and leaves a thin film. Nose is dark malt, dark fruits, rye, a little smoke. Taste comprises dark malt, brown rye bread, spice, raisens, dark fruits, hint of smoke. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a touch of bitterness in the roasted finish. Decent enough!
