Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall off-white and deeper tan head that fades fairly quickly but leaves a thin layer on the sides of the glass. Aroma of nice and robust roasted malts with some grainy, nutty and bready aspects, but there is also a good deal of tart scents from the cherries and a kick of pure fructose from the fruits here as well, at least in the nose - very nice. Full-bodied; Deep roasty flavour from the malts here shows through with a lot of earthiness and some nutty, herbal and pungent almost toasted malts with some bitterness from a more molasses and treacle like finish in the flavour with a ton of residual sugars and slight hit of alcohol noticeable at the end. Aftertaste is rich, very robust, showing a bunch of cherry candy notes but also some deeper malt notes and a lot of earthiness here that has some pungency, but is fairly smooth, sweet and rich, even for the style. Overall, a very nice, super strong and rich beer that has a sort of porter vibe with some sweet stout notes of course, but also a hint of Imperial status in terms of the malt and molasses/deep sugars, but this ends with a slight tartness and very fruity bite at the end - very nice throughout and showing a lot of different notes throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Phillips 66 (gas station) Mini Mart in Spearfish, South Dakota on 26-June-2020 for US$9,99/twin pack (as the candy is sold, too!) sampled at my house here in Washington some two+ years after purchase after the other one in the pack exploded while being cellared, this seemed to have a long time left that could be aged, but I took no risks and drank it right away (upon the other one bursting) on 25-August-2022.

Black with a medium sized foamy brown head. Roasty and malty with cocoa and strong sweet cherry. Long finish. Moderately full bodied

Dot matrix dating is not readable by me. From Beer Drop.
Pours pitch black with a fast shrinking head of foam.
Smells of chocolate, cherries, mild roasted malt. It is mostly sweet.
Taste is chocolate, muted cherries, roasted malt is also weak. Again, mostly sweet.
Good mouthfeel. I reckon that it doesn't taste enough like a twin Bing candy bar.
