100ml on tap at the brewpub in Copenhagen. Got a hazy brown body with a light brownish head. Bruch of cloves in aroma. Flavour has got notes of spicies and herbs, but the emphasis is on candy sweetness. Moderate to full palate. Alright, but rather too sweet - I’m glad I did not order a pint of this beverage. By the way, the strong alcohol is well hidden (13.01.2007).

Draught at Nørrebro Bryghus. Look is shady red brown "bad Bloody Mary" thing with no head. Wheat beet with Belgian ale scent. Low mouthfeel. Banana taste with sweet aftertaste.

Medium beige creamy head over deep chestnut brown body. Burnt rubbery milky aroma with touches of caramel. Taste is banana and milky roastiness. The aftertaste is dryish milky malts. Faint licorice. Not really like a dubbel, and not too successful. (0.25l on tap.)

(On tap) Light brown, hazy beer with a small, fine and creamy head. Very malty and spicy with an underlying, distinct sweetness that never cloys. Rather dry finish. A lovely Dubbel that fully equals the best Belgian originals. 210505

Tap at NB
Orange amber, amber head. Yeasty and herbal aroma. Very piney , dry IPA-like aroma - doesnt really strike me as a dubbel.

Draught
Hazy light nut brown, small tanned head. Crisp menthol nose. Medium-bodied, malty with good salty licorice flavors and good long aftertaste. Not an ordinary dubbel but delicious (except some unfermented sugars there).

Sampled draught at the brewpub. Cloudy copper colour. This beer can be summed up using two descriptors: almonds and olde englism marmalade. It’s fairly sweet with soft mouthfeel, perhaps crossing over into syrupy. Some grassy hops contribute to balance.

Draught. Aroma of banana esters. Flavour is also very dominated by banana with some yeast. Not far from Aventinus. Sorry to tell you, but this is a weizenbock, not a dubbel.
