440ml can from the brewery taproom. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, coffee. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 27 Nov 2022) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, roasted oatmeal, liquorice and a balanced coffee bitterness. Medium body, dry. Tasty and well made, with coffee, chocolate and a soft toasty oatmeal character. Very nice.
