Bottled. Murky brown coloured head with a small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, some caramel, toasted malts and quite a big bitterness to it. Flavour is bitter, nutty, sweet malts, strong on the toffee and some mild alcohol notes as well.

500 mL bottle from Grape & Gourmet in Virginia Beach, VA, opened 10/5/10. Pours a hazy copper color with lots of floating particles Large fizzy offwhite head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of raisins, spices and toffee with a mildly tart finish and a bit of juniper. The taste is bread, toffee, cherries, spices, pine, stone fruits. Medium bodied. Effervescent. About a year old at least and has held up well.

Bottle pours out a cloudy golden topped with a small white head. Aroma is of sweet honey, spice, floral and citrus hop notes. Taste was very interesting sweet honey and then bitter pine needles/juniper. Not over the top bitter or sweet. A petty unique beer.

Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a small, white head. Nose of honey and malt. Quite sweet, with loads of honey, caramel, spices and some citrus. There is a mild hop presence towards the finish. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation and a smooth, almost creamy character. Not bad at all.

Very piny sweet resin spruce and licorice taste. You notice the pine needles and juniper twigs. Some honey in the nose. Very unique. I love it, but it’s not for everyone. Rated 8/3/09

Bottle from Wine and Cheese. Pours light amber with a frothy 3-finger off-white head. Aroma is rather peachy. Medium minus body with mild carbonation. Flavor of something like plum, pine and caramel. It’s lightly sweet, and fairly balanced. Quite different ale. I’m finding it quite pleasant.
