Clear red brown beer. Light palate, semi soft and semi dry. Sweetish milk chocolate malt segues seamlessly into spicy spirity alcohol with a very light fruity hop. Warming finish. A bit different - like a mild chocolate Port liquer! Smooth and very drinkable.

9/11/11/13/10/11

66cl vintage bottle given to me by faroeviking. thanks a buch dude for stuffing all that interesting beers in that cellar few years back ;-). bbf 4-1-2009. clear nutty brown -amber, smooth light brown head. aroma like an english style barley wine, starts a bit old-hoppy but very soon shows barley wineish caracters. apricot, sweet caramel. flavor is dry, caramelly, bitter, faint bitter and flowery hops, alc. bite, warming alc. i believe i can taste the typical flavors of willemoes beers (strong strong alc. and some unidentifed flavor resembling a really well brewed strong eurpoean something). not sure i like it, but i recognize it clearly. Flavor is also true to the dobbelbock style with the alc. pretty clearly a big part of the flavor profile. Beer doesn’t appear too old or on the way downhill.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin fast diappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, while the flavor is more complex; sweet malty with notes of caramel, raisins, and plumbs. The alcohol leaves burn in the mouth. I think this will improve with cellaring for a year. Thanks Grovlam for sharing.

66 cL bottle. Pours deep and clear amber/red with a fully diminished head. Wineous, barley and dried fruit aroma. Flavour is solid barley, mellow dried fruity and alcohol heavy. Solid alcohol and barley finish. Somewhat unrefined and brutal.

(Bottle 66 cl) Clear, dark, amber colour with a dense, beige head leaving a curtain of laces. Aroma is primarily alcohol with a touch of roasted malt. Medium body - and not really enough body to sustain the massive alcohol that leaves quite a burn. They may have lagered this for 9 months but it still comes out as a slightly more sophisticated Malt Liquour baby. 241207
