0.5l bottle #006210 shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a blurry deep amber red one, only a small islandy and sidesticking off-white top. A tad milder on the nose than I had hoped for, but it still smells quite nice. It has tones of both raisins and sweet caramel-butter. Clearly slightly oxidized. Some red berries with wet reeds, nuts and alcohol. Not bad at all. It's just below average and small prickling on the carbonation while it has a oily light sticky feeling in the mouth. Lots of raisins and dried berries the taste. Yeasty nuts and sticky sweet caramel. It also contains a strong and powerful bitterness almost like it's burning a bit on the tongue and it ends in a warming alco finish. Much tastier than I expected, and not bad at all. 19.02.2014

Aroma: Fruity, vinous and malty.
Palate: Full body. Sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft to average carbonation.
Taste: Malty, vinous and fruity. Very well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: A bit to sweet for me. Anyway a solid ale.

50cl bottle courtesy of and shared with gnoff as Vintage 2008, bottle # 6091.
