Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Crisp, darker reddish-brown in colour, with an extremely thin head. Has a light roasted malt sweetness, more noticeable in its nose than taste.

Gravity cask at the Birmingham CAMRA Beer Festival 2015. Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is red berry fruit, light chocolate malt. The flavour is roast malt light smoke liqourice with a light watery coffee, light medicinal palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask, Beamish Mary, No Place, Co Durham. Very dark brown, near enough black with a thin biege head. Aroma was sweetish with roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour was something similar. Solid and drinkable, but a little diappointing overall.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Dark amber brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, roasted, fruity, notes of licorice. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

Cask@GBBF2007. Dark amber colour, close to black. Small brownish beige head. Aroma is roasted malts along with fruits and malts. Some wet burnt wood along with some fruity- and bitterness. Pleasant one, with a slightly sticky palate.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Very dark brown, bubbly beige head. Choccy porter aroma, little thin in mouth. A little watery, where are they malts? OK hop on finish. Just too watery.
