It’s our best selling beer for a reason. Simple pale malts provide a base for a complex blend of hops. The colour is very pale with lemon citrus and floral flavours, progressing to a spicy mouthfeel and a clean earthy bitterness in the finish.

Bottle from the brewery. Appearance - pale lemon gold with a thin lacy head. Nose - lemon barley water. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a dry finish. Overall - not particularly exciting but it does the job.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2013. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is weak stale malt with a hint of creamy caramel. The flavour is weak bitter with a light bodied watery palate and not much else. I feel that this beer has the potential to be so much more but didn’t quite make it.

500ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Hazy yellow body, pillowy white head. Nose is a mix of citrus and pepper, with a nice spicy first hit in the taste. A bit more body in this and it would be great.
