It’s our best selling beer for a reason. Simple pale malts provide a base for a complex blend of hops. The colour is very pale with lemon citrus and floral flavours, progressing to a spicy mouthfeel and a clean earthy bitterness in the finish.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Beer Hawk. Pours totally clear gold with a creamy, white head. Basic dried pale malts in the nose, a few pine needles, hay, pale grains, lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with faint herbal notes, more grass and crispy hap, faint citric hops. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Fairly clean in the finish, with some husky grain, further grass, biscuits. Simplistic but drinkable enough.

500ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with a one finger white head which lasts forever. Aroma: hoppy, fruity, floral, slightly earthy. Taste: fruit, citrus, light grainy malts, floral, slightly spicy hop finish, light bitterness. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel. Not bad. Label prominently calls this a Bitter but definitely drinks like a Golden.
