It’s our best selling beer for a reason. Simple pale malts provide a base for a complex blend of hops. The colour is very pale with lemon citrus and floral flavours, progressing to a spicy mouthfeel and a clean earthy bitterness in the finish.

Old rating from 04-11-16 - A 500ml bottle. It pours a pale, straw-coloured beer with a smooth, white head. Aromas of pale malts, citrus & grass. Taste is pale malts, butter, citrus and a hint of yeast. Long, mildly bitter finish. Overall fairly good considering the low abv.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. One of those you were certain you’d already rated. Clear straw colour. Thin white head. Nose is a little peachy and sorbet like. Hint of pineapple cube sweets. Cracker biscuit malt. Taste is a little dry and lightly bitter. Light bodied with fine, crisp carbonation. Gets more bitter as it goes along. Clean and bright bitter finish. Great golde.

500 ml bottle conditioned, at the Durham Cathedral & Cloister Restaurant. ABV is 3.8%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of fruity hops (citrus and tropical fruits). Distinctly hoppy flavour, notes of citrus and tropical fruits, good bitterness.
