Cask at the Castle Tavern, Inverness, 19/10/13. Crystal clear golden with a moderate off white head. Nose is toasted malts, citrus, orange. Taste comprises orange sherbet, bread dough, orange pith, toasty malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light grassy bitterness in the finish. Ok golden blond - not a bitter !

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy,big creamy and stable off-white head, leaving rings on the glass; toasty-fruity nose with some phenols; creamy MF, light bodied, mild bitter-sweet flavour, shorter bitter-fruity finish. Disappointing…

Golden light amber, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma - pale caramel malt, soft citrus fruits
Taste - light caramel malts, soft fruits, soft tangy citrus, apricot, soft cereal malts, nice biscuity cereal come in as a wave in the finish
Palate - Soft carb, light to medium body, bit oily. Finish as described above
Overall - One of the better golden ales out there, good finish

Bottled 500ml (BZ, BB 03/2013, alc. 4.4%)
Slightly hazy orange color, small white head, lace. Fruity, slightly flowery, cracker malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Yeasty front, some citrus hoppyness, fruity maltyness. Overriped tropical fruits. Decent but quite typical UK beer.

Herb fruchtiger Beginn. Zunehmend bitterer, die fruchtige Süße passt angenehm dazu. Ab dem späten Mittelteil deutlich getreidig, nun wieder herber, auch wenn die Süße noch deutlich erkennbar ist. Nett! 8/9/11/11/9/11

(bottle) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Cara-malty and fruit-accented hoppy aroma with citric and lemony notes. Mildly sweet and bitter flavour, light bodied with a modest carbonation. Balanced cara-malt and mainly fruity hoppy taste; sweet-bitter cara-malty and slightly biscuity finish. 23.VI.12

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, micropore frothy, moderately lacing, white head. Floral, slightly herbal hop aroma, a minimal spicy note. Taste is initially slightly dry, minimally soapy with increasing floral notes, hints of underlying minimally spicy grain. Finish holds dry hop notes with a floral touch. Very decent fruity flavours throughout.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear deep golden with an off-white head leaving a dicreet lacework. Good citrusy hop flavour. Medium body, fruity sweetness with a hint of caramel. A little late hops but never really bitter. 290911

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and light cornish. Fruity, mild peachy and crisp hoppy. Subdued sweet impression. Crisp bitter and light citrusy. Bitter and citrusy.
