Cask (backlog). Golden colour with mediumsized foamy head. Aroma is citrus, some earth and mild nutty and wooden notes to it. Flavour is floral, some slight zest, wooden and grassy bitterness with some slight sweet malts to it as well.

Cask at Cask Corner, Doncaster. Mid-gold, clear, bit of white head. Malty, slightly buttery, not much aroma. Maybe a bit of elderflower? Bittersweet taste with a pleasant tartness which continues to the finish. Thinnish body. Competent for sure but not all that exciting.

Cask @ The Railway, Hebden Bridge. Yellow-blond with a creamy head. Lots of a flora notes that linger in the palate. Has some hops with a bit of dryness in its texture.

Cask @ Golden Rule, Edinburgh [010913]
Golden clear, dense white head, touch of lacing. Aroma of very light fruits, little on the nose. Taste of soft citrus fruits, bit soapy, fruity apricot, some sourish fruits, sweet pale malts. Medium body, bit sour palate. Finish is dry, fruity, fairly bitter tail.
Overall - Very average golden ale, quite sour. Not in best nick.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2012. Clear yellow pour with a thin white broken head. Skanky lagerish aroma, so the initial impression wasn't good. The flavour was a big improvement though. The combination of hops worked particularly well to produce a refreshing bitter taste with a good lingering bitterness on the palate. This won't be to everyone's taste though.
