Cask@The Wenlock Arms, London. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, grassy and has a quite pleasant maltyness to it. Flavour is bready and caramelly malts along with mild floral and some grassy notes. Pleasant, but a bit one dimensional.

Cask @ Wetherspoons Elgin.
Typical golden ale appearance, straw-golden, thin white head.
Aroma of grassy hop with a harsh sort of rust metal.
Taste of bitter grass hop, some cereal, sweet light fruity malt, hint of butter.
Palate - Soft carbonation. Finish was rather sour, earthy metallic with lingering bitterness.
Overall - An average golden ale let down by a very poor finish. It might be ’end-of-the-barrel’ comparing my notes to other reviewers.

Cask @ Counting House, JDW. Clear light golden colour, white lacings. Aroma is grainy and grassy, hint of hops. Flavour is grassy, a bit buttery, biscuit. Suspect these are the last pulls from the cask; don’t find it overly impressive.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. I rather liked this, a good example of a English style blond ale. Sraw in colour with a thin white head; grainy aroma; crisp citrus flavour with grainy undertones; and a sweet grapefruit finish.

Cask (Central Bar JDW,Cardiff) - Pale golden in colour with a bit of a haze. Lightly hoppy aroma with tea and some fruity notes. Refreshing fruity and hoppy taste with notes of tea and grapefruit. Easy to drink.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, rice boiled, flowers water, rancid butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to short duration. Body is light, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, Ashford. Pale gold colour with lasting white head. Citrusy hop aroma with juicy malt in the mouth and then lovely citrus fruit on the end. Lots of lemon and grapefruit and bits of tangerine. Lovely stuff.

Cask conditioned at a JDW pub near Farringdon Station, London. This was served too cold but was pleasant enough. Aroma was pale gold with a decent white head. Aroma was very light, with a mere hint of hops. This was a bit grainy in the mouth, with some sweetness and a bitter finish.
