Rating from bottle collection/historic notes, source not recorded. Poured deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, light chocolate. Medium+ sweetness, moderate bitterness. Towards being full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation. Nice.

Appearance: Basically black, quite small tan head. Some sediments. Aroma: Malt, coffee, slight alcohol. Taste: Strong malt, burnt, leather. Oil. Still quite smooth, though. Info: 500ml bottle, 29/10-2011, 218/300

Bottle shared at The Wedding. Pours brown with a small, off-white head. Mild roast in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, modest roast and sugar. Body is a bit light and the carbonation is fine. Mild warmth to finish, semi-dry, faintly bitter, some roastiness. Just OK.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and slight breadish. Mild acidic, dark roasted and malty breadish flavoured. Lingering dark malty and slight breadish into a dry and slight bitter finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours black with an orange hue and a rough off-white head. Some hard roast and tar in the nose. Solid body, carbonation is a little low, heavy roast and licorice with some phenols. Hard roast finish. A typical British Imperial Stout. 180311

Unusually thin palate for an RIS. An odd mix of slightly smoky malt mixed with coca cola, herbs, dandelion and burdock (showing my age now). Dry medicinal finish. Oddness abounds, too much so!
