Steinbock is a traditional German-style Maibock, lighter in color and body than kindred bocks and crafted for supreme drinkability. Our brewers utilized heirloom Pilsner, Vienna, and Munich “Barke” malts in this grain bill, a small-scale project from the legendary Wyermann maltsters. Underneath its sticky cap of white foam, these resurrected varieties bring complex notes of biscuit and malty caramel that fade into a sweetness. Complimenting its rustic grain bill, Hallertau and Saphir hops carry subtle notes of herbal spice and mild florality. Prost!

Pours clear gold into a willi. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving trailing spots. Honey and cracker aromas. Medium bodied with sweet toasted english muffin and honey upfront turning to hot caramel and golden syrup before the earthy bark finish. This one improved with age ... propping it up a couple of points.

Charlton draught, 4/10/25.
Clear, bright, deep brass. Snow white head, well-retained.
Ooo, so much earthiness! Cracker, rustic grain, honey. Just a complex assortment of malt notes with dusty, earthy, herbal hops in the background.
Spicy hop notes at the very front before a rich but well-attenuated maltiness. Honey, hints of melanoidin, gooey biscuit and some crackers on the end. Just enough earthiness. Clean, rich, malty, spicy, balanced.
