[i] Cask at JDW. Penny Black, Bicester 22-09-07 [/i] Copper in colour with small white head. fruity hop aroma, taste is also fruity, hoppy, and suprisingly quite robust with reasonable bitterness not too much sweet malts but they were there, a nice bitter.

Cask (handpump) @ Robin Hood, DY8, Amblecote. Clear medium amber color with a small fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to creamy, carbonation is flat.

(Cask at Bar Fringe, Manchester, 29 July) Dark amber colour with foamy head. Malty, roasted, nutty nose with dark fruit, apricots, oranges. Slightly burnt. Malty, nutty taste with notes of hazel nuts and a dry bitterness in the finish with hints of dusty hops. Fairly neutral, but drinkable.

Cask at The Market Porter London SE1 15. Sep 06. Dark golden coloured. A tiny head. Undeterminable flavour. Some fruity hints, but overall unvaried and dull.

Half on cask at the Market Porter, London Bridge. Golden brown. Tiny little foam. Spicy, but rather poor on aroma and flavour. Notes of yeast. Flat and dry. Rather shallow and waterly (15.09.2006).
