Keg at the brewery tap room - Camden, London. Pours deep, black-brown with a thick, brown cream head. Heavy roasted malt aroma with lots of char and baking cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with very bitter charred malts, bittersweet baking cocoa, dirt, burnt sugars and dark bread. Full bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Earthy bitter cocoa to finish, dark chocolate, dirt, charred toast, roasted and charred coffee, mild burnt rubber. Good balance for the ABV but the intensity of the charred malt character holds it back a bit. Overall very decent.
