Bottled. An amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of phenol, as well as medium notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, phenol, and some fruit, leading to a dry, bitter finish, with a strong note of phenol lingering. My least favorite among the three.

Bottle. Amber, slightly unclear body, with a beige head. The aroma feels a bit sweeter than the Jylland, more malty, but there’s still a nice hoppiness. The flavor is sweet and malty, with resin in the background, finishing bitter, but quite sweet. Medium body. There’s not that much separating the scores of the beers in this hop experiment, but this was the one I appreciated least. (070928)

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Pours a hazy, amber golden - darker than the Sjælland version. Fruity, vitamin like aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and a bitter finish. OK, but not as refined as the Sjælland version. 080707

Draught at KØ07. Hazy dark brown colour, seems darker than the Sjælland one. Aroma and flavour also seem sweeter than Sjælland. They are both a little thin, but that is to be expected.

Bottled at Københavnske Øldage. Hazy deep copper colour, creamy head. Dusty, fruity nose. Dryish with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Some cookie malt lies under orangey dusty hops. Salty finish. This version has more intense, more orangey hop notes than the other two versions.

Draught at Gl Estrup. Version Fyn: Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Nice poweerfull hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Nice bitter complex finish. Oily palate. Version fyn absolutly the most well balanced of the three. Jylland Version: 5-3-5-3-10. Harsh bitter finish. Sjælland Version: 5-4-5-3-11. Aprox. inbetween the others all over.
