Appearance: Clear dark golden color with a fine white head that leaves an ok lacing.
Aroma: Malty, hoppy and a bit fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Dominating caramel malty, mild fruity and mild hoppy.
Overall impression: Tasty, but a bit more like an British Special bitter.
Personal stats: Bottle from workmate Magnus.

50 cl. bottle, as "India Pale Ale - Gylden Ale", abv. is 6,0%. Poured in to a tulip. Lovely copper colour with a dense, off-white head. Fruity aroma with caramel and bread malts - toasted, grass and citrus hops. An earthy note. Taste is sweet. Medium body, lively carbonation. Finishes sweet with caramel and malts, bits of citrus and earth. Too sweet for an IPA however, considering the price this was actually a nice beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of hop with a citrus note. Pleasant, bitter taste of hop with a reasonable dry finish. Richly, perhaps too richly, carbonated. Not bad, just reasonable for a mass market Danish IPA.

Bottle. Cloudy orange, golden head. Citric and applelike aromatics, honeyish malt notes, good floral hop wallop. Medium body, chewy, mellow mouthfeel. Comes together in the end quite nicely, maye a tad too floral for my taste.

0,5 flaske delt med medbrygger Ovesen: lukter og smaker som en Hansa Premium. Ikke min ide om hva en ipa skal være. Skovlyst skuffer igjen, ingen vits i å prøve mer fra dette bryggeriet.

0.5l bottle from Copenhagen airport. This is a clear mild golden one. It has a small quite quickly fading and light sidesticking just off-white head. On the aroma in this I get some hoppiness, definitely not as much as a IPA should have in my opinion. Also it's light sweet with caramel references. Neither exciting, good or bad aroma. Flavor is almost metallic and soft pungent. Old dusty hoppy flavors. Perhaps this has been standing in the sunlight a bit to long? Did not taste like an IPA, more like a old-hopped bitter of some kind. Metallic and sweet aftertaste. Mah, wont be recommending this. 05.06.2012

Light golden colour. Light carbonation, soft feel. In general quite a malty taste but also herbal leaving a slightly numbing effect on the tongue. Very mild hoppiness and low bitterness.

A pretty good pale ale. A nice flowery bitterness that is well rounded. Amber in color with I white head.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Dror. Clear deep golden. Aroma of piney, citric and resinous notes and some malt. Sweet malty flavor, a bit sugary, with some fruitiness and a moderately bitter hoppy finish. Medium-bodied. Too sweet, but kinda OK.
