50 cL bottle. Pours dark and unclear brown with short lived fizzy head. Aroma and flavour is a mix of breadish malt, spices and yeasty. Medium sweet yet also with a distinct acidic to citric note. Flat and citric finish.

500 ml bottle. Clear reddish body with a small beige head. Flavor is malty with a clear hint of liquorices. Flavor is a bit roasted malt, sweet and again this liquorices, which stay in my mouth during the finish. Decent I guess.

Bottle. Copper-colored, with a small beige head. Caramel, malt, some weak fruit and some peat in the aroma. The flavor has a dash of peat as well, together with malt and some hops. Medium body and a finish with peat and some hop-hints. Decent beer, but too anonymous to be worth repeating. (070427)

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark mahogany with a touch of red. Slightly hazy pretty much without any head. Rather low carbonation also. Very spicy - I sense oranges and licorice - but I believe it’s all esters. There’s no mention of spices on the label. Very dry with a marked but not overwhelming bitterness. Some notes of cough syrup. Very unusual beer. 130405

Draught at Carlsen’s Kvarter, Odense. Served too cold. Chestnut colour. Aroma and flavour are very fruity (plums), nearly acidic / vinegary. Decent maltiness, notes of English malt vinegar. Minimal hops. Refreshing and pleasant to drink. Acidic even in the finish, but a wormwoodlike bitterness pops up in the aftertaste.
