Special Beer from a long tradition. A level of alcohol which is not too high, characterised by a distinct aroma obtained through the use of the very best malts.

clear amber, smooth and thick offwhite head. aroma is sort of like a lager (even though it says ale). dry nutty, very slightly fruity. faint but rather pleasant. even though it’s faint it also seems to be full. flavor is very dry, non-sweet malty, faint nutty. dry and crisp malty flavor profile. very faint sweet spicy note in there too.

66 cL bottle. Pours clear brown, almost maghoni. Has a collapsing off-white head. Slight spiced, caramel malty and mild mouldy aroma. Almost no carbonation. Breadish and sweet flavoured, vague spice note. Ends with little bitterness and dominated by more of the same malt notes. I had my hopes high for this and was disappointed, this isn’t bad but not great either.
