From tap at you never walk alone, as Ripley Castle Crackshot, 5.5%. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white had. Mild malty aroma. Flavour too is malty with a light dried fruity note, somewhat dark in flavour. Finish holds a more fresh orange fruity hops note to a mild bitterness.

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Clear amber, firm head. Hay aroma. Sweet and fairly light bodied with crisp rye bready maltinerss covered in fruit and syrup. Light hay-like hops that later turn into resiny bitterness. A decent ale, feeler lighter than it really is, but the fruity sweetness limits the refreshing qualities somewhat.

On tap at YNWA, Kolding. Pours a clear, copper body with an off-white head. Malty aromas dominates, with caramel playing the lead role, but there’s some hoppy fruityness to support. Quite balanced, but on the malty side. Caramel, some roasted malt, fruityness and a medium bitterness in the mouth. Medium fullness. The finish is of the fruity kind, leaving the malt in the background, without being much bitter. Pleasant and quaffable, but nothing special about it, far from. (080229)

Bottle from the Grog shop, Jericho, Oxford 23-11-07 Poured chesnut in colour with tiny white head. Aroma slightly malty and toffeeish. Tasted very good, nice solid beer that was really flavoursome and whilst nothing in particular stood out other than I suppose it was quite malty and maybe a touch sweet it was pretty well crafted, I like this.

Clean amber color; nice creamy head. Aroma of malt and hay. Quite round mouthfeel, even if the beer is not too thick; good thin malt taste, with caramel, on the sweet side, with a light unpleasant metallic touch in the beginning; the final is well balanced, with a very light fruitness to join the malt and bitterness. Overall, quite good and well brewed; subtle.

Bottle, 5.5%. Clear chestnut colour, no head. Malty, spicy flavour. The carbonation is a bit high, but not bad.
