nice mocha aroma, appearance was a nice dark ruby, nice lacing on the glass. mouthfeel was quite thin.......meh nothing special. i know straight up porters with more of a coffee taste. but for an ale, it’s decent.

Bottle. Dark brown in color with a medium light brown head. Coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Some coffee in the flavour, very acidic (Makes me wonder if it’s supposed to be this way, or if this is just a bad bottle).

Deep reddish brown ale with a collapsing off-white head. Aroma of sweet moka café and vanilla and butterscotch. Sweet malt balls with roasted notes, with some coffee, and light burned acidity, faint hops. Light bodied with oily mouthfeel. Simple and pleasing. Bought at brewery March 2005.

Hazy dark brown. Very coffeeish aroma with some nuttiness. Weak Tim Horton's coffee flavour. Thin body. Not that I've said this about a coffee beer before, but one-dimensional and unimpressive. Waiting for a tea beer - like that lapsang souchong homebrew I was promised for the Ratebeer Homebrew Competition.
