Dublin Black is a strong stout beer brewed according to the traditional Irish method, with roasted corn, giving the aroma and taste a roasted, slightly burned character. It has tones of chocolate and coffee, together with a well-balanced hoppy bitterness. A great beer that suits any occasion.

(Bottle 50 cl) Almost black with a warm red glow and a nice, creamy light brown head. Weak burned aroma, very weak. Malty flavour - more of roasted than burned malt. Very lively, fizzy head - overly carbonated. 090905

Bottle. Slightly roasted aroma. Black colour, almost no head. Fruity flavour. Creamy mouthfeel, too swelling in my opinion.

Really deep ruby colour (almost black). Medium head. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the aroma and there’s some sweet liquorice as well. Dry, roasty, slightly peaty, almost smoked flavour. A nice beer, a bit unbalanced though.

Dark brown color; creamy head. Too aggressive and not enough malt. Caramel and chocolate character. Very long final.

The aroma is sweet and sour - very much like an English Mild. The color is black and it has an OK but disappearing beige head. The flavor is like that of a Mild - sour. This is not the way it is supposed to taste - it is supposed to be a Stout. My sample (like Per's) was hurried thru production to make the Stockholm Beer Festival.

Sampled draught at Stockholm Beer Festival.
Black with beige head. Lightly yeasty an dvery roasty with loads of licorice. Medium to full bodied. Grassy, bitter finish. Still young and a bit raw.
