Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black, nice head. Starts soft-malty, notes of chocolate, more dry than sweet. Well balanced finish, notes of dried fruits. Good beer!

Golden brown colour. Head is a bit fizzy. A little bit toasty on the nose. The body is a shade thin, but with good dark malt character - liquorice, toffee, dark sugars and some toastiness. Finishes sweet, lightly molassesy.

Bottle. Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, small, persistent off-white head. caramelly-bitter nose with fruity and a roast-malty touch. Moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, quite soft MF. Caramelly and slightly bitter finish with some herbal undertones. Astonishingly good Dunkel by a mass-market producer........

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a small beige foamy head. Sweet roast-malty aroma with notes of cacao, caramel and a delicate herbal hoppy blend. Slightly sweet flavour with a light roasty bitterness, solid malty with a tinge of dark bread, caramel and faint herbal accents; moderately dry and bitter, but also a bit slim and short finish. Anyway a decent Dunkel (31.X.08).

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber to brown with a fully gone head. Light toasted to breadish malt aroma. Sweet caramel malty flavour with a nice breadish note. Roasted and slight fruity too. Lasting breadish impression into the finish alongside a nice level of bitterness. Nice one.

Bottled at Pizzeria in Bamberg. Clear nut brown, small head. Roasty malt aroma. Sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel and light-medium body. Sugary with notes of hazelnuts. Low bitterness. Rather lifeless.

Draught: Poured a orange brown with a huge head, the bartender was shitty and this beer was a mix of four glass poured because they couldn’t figure the CO2. The aroma was sweet caramel malt. The taste was kinda flat with a bitter caramel metallic. I’m sure the serving was not the best quality.
