Cask at the Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford. Light to medium gold, wispy white head. Pleasant lemony aroma with a bit of candyfloss. Unfortunately the taste doesn’t live up to the promise in the scent of the beer: slight bitterness leads to an unpleasant buttery acidic note in the finish and aftertaste. The beer grows on me but it isn’t an impressive product.

Fra cask på Ye Olde Salutation Inn, Nottingham 26 Jan 14. Gylden. Lavt filmskum som etterlater nivåmerker på glasset. Forsiktig fruktaroma. Smaken litt vassen. Antydning til grapefrukt. Blir litt tørr etter hvert.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Wheatsheaf, Chetwyn Aston on 11th Jan 2014. Lighter in colour and depth than it’s bottled brother (the bottles 5% ABV), this is easy drinking but lacking in flavour. It’s OK but I do prefer the bottled version.
