Bottle. Poured amber/orange with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, toasted caramel, alcohol, light smoke and bread. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation.

From old tasting notes. Amber orange color. Bubbly beige head. Wonderful sweet malty nose. Bittersweet toasted smoky malt flavor is both warming and full bodied. Big mouthfeel dominates the palate. Long sticky aftertaste.

Bottle 330 ml from Austria. Amber colored, malty sweetish. Alcohol not really subtle. Didn’t like it.

Pours bubbled, weak brown with a minimal, off-white head. Strong breadiness, grain aroma. Taste is sweet....malt and breadheel, a hint of salt. Very light smokiness...more in aftertaste... Seems a little off.

Soft and pleasant taste. Maybe a bit whisky-like, but not much. Somewhat watery.

Test vom 22.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 14,7,6,5,7,6 - 6,85

Weird one cause there are different styles that this one seems to belong in, red ale, smoked, scottish ale, etc. very malty, sweet malt not bread malt, no hop characteristics. reddish brown color, transparent, small head. not a real standout.

25th February 2009
Clear amber beer with a smooth rich malt building in to a crisp alcoholic finish with a touch of brandy. Quite flavoursome if a little one dimensional.
