Pours a thick black with a fine brown thick bubbly head. Aroma of roasted malts & bitter coffee. Filling body. Easy smoke flavour. The texture is unfortunatly not as thick as it appeared when it came out of the bottle. Nice bitter burnt coffee malt & caramel flavour. Before that a medium sweet taste - a bread & butter feel!!?!?!. (Not as pleasant) Good lacings!

Bottle, 5.2% ABV. It pours a ruby dark brown body with a beige to tan head. Looking really lovely, but maybe a bit pale. Bonfire-sour start on the aroma, quite burnt, with a little vanilla and sweetish scents. Sweet, burnt flavor with coffee, chocolate and bonfire, leading to a coffee-bitter finish. Dry, medium to full mouthfeel. A really pleasant one. Rating: 6-4-7-4-14-3.5. (080829)

Bottled at Cph Beerfestival. Dark brown, almost black, with a tan head. Light roasted aroma with dark chocolate and coffee. Mild but very pleasant flavor of chocolate and coffee. Mellow and lightly sweet, but yet dusty mouthfeel. Dry, lightly bitter finish. (060519)

[Bottled at Købehavnske Øldage] Opaque black. Rich chocolate sauce aroma. Medium sweet and lightly grainy. Chocolate malt make up the majority of the flavour. Finishes bitter with notes of tar. Pleasant, but could be softer.
