0.5l bottle shared with ozujsko, tasting of the beers obtained in trade with Papsoe, part 2. Ooh, my first IPA. Poured a lovely dark orange colour, slightly hazy. Medium sized lasting white head. The nose is ok, lime, pine and caramel. Nice enough. The taste is, say, dominated by a mid strength dull bitterness and pine courtesy of the hops. Fine fruity, like boiled apricots maltiness and weak earthy roastiness. I’ve liked it more than most it seems, but it still didn’t impress me all that much. Nice, but a bit too dull for it’s own good.

600 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a dense off white head. Aroma is malty with a moderate hoppy character. Flavor is more hoppy, but plain in a way. Harmonic malt character, a bit fruity and a long bitter finish. Somewhere between a British and American IPA, and a bit anonymous. Probably a great match for food?
