Brewed since 1998 Golden Pig is our signature ale, achieving a silver award at the prestigious Champion Beer of Britain 2011. Golden Pig has a beautiful balance of Marris Otter and Crystal malt with a Challenger hop.

A warm golden ale packed full of flavour with a slightly sweet smooth after taste.

Cask at The Water Gate (JDW), Barnstaple. Moulding apples on the nose. Strange foam later. Slight lemon flavour. Some cigarette.

Flat as a witche's. Took it back to the bar and was told that's how it's supposed to be. Didn't believe it. Still don't.

Hand-pulled pint on 6th Dec 2019; The Panniers, a Wetherspoon's pub in Barnstaple. Golden body, as the name might suggest, white crown on top. Floral and citrus leanings in both the aroma and taste, light malty base, mild bitter finish.

9/8/2018. Cask at the Great British Beer Festival. Pours amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, hop, toffee, syrup, fruit and biscuit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ The New Inn, Clovelly. Full-bodied golden ale with a mild berry aroma and flavours that match this.

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, mild citrusy. Crisp hoppy, light sweet and fruity flavoured. Bitter and slight citrusy finish.

26th September 2008. Light palate but full bodied ale. A dry finish but the body makes this very drinkable.
