Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8
Super hazy golden and bring orange coloured body with an elegant, if not thin, off-white head, only one or so centimetre tall that barely coats the top. Aroma of very deep and pungent hop elements with an astringent and resinous bite that shows a lot of alcohol and sweetness in the nose, too - but the hops are strongest. Full-bodied; Very dense and rich malt and pure melon/mango notes dominate that makes it hard to get anything else down, but the alcohol and bright orangey/tangeriney notes are there, right behind, to get in the way and make this even more robust and pungent. Aftertaste shows a ton of everything really, with fruits, malt, sugars, alcohol and of course, hops all out in full effect. Very strong and pungent, but fairly pleasant, as long as you were expecting the punch! Overall, a nice beer - very strong, as stated, but hopefully you expected that, given the ABV - this delivers and is pretty nice, but sixteen ounces of this is pretty hard to get down! Nice to sample and very fresh is the way to go, if you can grab this from Colorado! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Argonaut Liqour in [downtown] Denver, Colorado on 07-May-2021 for US$4,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 06-June-2021.
