Whiskey Barrel-Aged Barley Wine
An English-inspired barleywine clocking in at 12.5% and brewed with local Oregon Promise and pale malts from Mainstem Malt and Goschie Farms in addition to a plethora of specialty malts. We aged it for over a year in Heaven Hill whiskey barrels and blended with our base barleywine. Notes of rum raisin, pecan pie, toffee and warming bourbon. Here’s to the days getting longer.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours an opaque dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma has plenty of whiskey barrels, toasted malt, and a hint of caramel. Flavour is complex and well-constructed, with lots of whiskey barrels upfront, some spicy rye-like notes, caramel, and bready malt. Really great, complex whiskey barrel character. Excellent.
