Small cream head, if rather stable, over red-highlighted, near-black beer. Black chocolate, intense, with caramelized coating, as a Twix bar or something of that ilk. Very sweet, chocolate, cacao powder. Perfumey - caramelsyrup with Nesquick powder; raisins. Very full bodied, viscous and chewy, alcoholheat. Ultra sweet and chewy Eisbock. Txs to Stef!

Tolles Bier!

0.33 l bottle from 'Mr. Hop', best before June 2029. A bit hazy, very dark ruby with a thin, slightly frothy, quickly diminishing, beige head. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a little boozy aroma of molasses, caramel, almond, dark fruits and cocoa. Very sweet, malty, quite fruity and slightly boozy taste of molasses, caramel, dark fruits, almond, cocoa and some nuts, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty beer, although I prefer my Eisbock without additions. However, I think that cocoa and almond match quite well with the fruity flavours and pleasantly disguise the booze as well.
