Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear golden colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is malt, light yeasty, some tropical citrus notes. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, slightly watery, light fruity, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Handpull cask at the West End Brewery, Leicester. Pale yellow and clear with a small white head. Gentle grapefruit-led aroma with lemon peel and a touch of biscuity malt. Bittersweet taste with just a touch of sulphur. The finish is far more bitter, leading to an uncompromising bitterness in the aftertaste. A basic but enjoyable pale ale.
