Clear golden coloured body with a tinge of orange and a nice, relatively dense three centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of malt, metal, grain and very little else - perhaps a touch of yeast. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong metallic and malt flavours dominate with a very little hops and some slight sweetness, maybe from corn. Aftertaste is grain and metal with some light assertive malt and some subdued sweetness. Overall, not such a great offering considering the options, and perhaps even worse to cart this heavy bottle halfway across the globe, but I did it anyways, and you probably shouldn’t. I sampled this 500 mL stubby/rounded/southafrican-styled bottle purchased from TOPS Cape Quarter (Green Point) in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa on 14-August-2015 for ZAR41,99 sampled at home in Washington on 11-October-2015.
