Tap at the Pig and Whistle, Kyoto. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, light fruity, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp,, fruity, light metallic, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

A simple pale ale that seems to be what Japanese craft brewers made in the 90s. Some crystal malt, New world hops with noticeable yeast used in many English pale ales. Boring.

Can from Lawson. Amber-orange, tall fine head. Nose is caramel, ripe stone fruits, touch of pine. Sweet, some caramel, stone fruit, touch of resin, bit sugary. Not as stinky as the golden but not very good either.
