Due to its authenticity, Earthmonk received as little sugar as possible during bottle conditioning in order to preserve all original aromas and flavours. This beer comes with little carbonation and a mini head. Is best served at cellar temperature and poured generously, meaning from a hight of approximately 15 to 20 CM, in an upright standing tulip glass. A big bubbled head will quickly make place for the Earthmonk coming alive!

Very dark brwon with almost no head, few large beige bubbles. Aroma is soil, fortified wine, sourness and a bit of dried fruit. Taste is initially sweet like a strong well steeped very sugary tea mixed with a bit of sherry booziness. Then sour finish. Very full bodied. Cracking and very interesting beer!

Bottle. Very dark red brown color, almost black. Cloudy. Vinous aroma with cherry. Earthy, chocolate. Hardly any carbon. Vinous flavor with chocolate, grapes and cherry esters. Sweet but also with an upcoming sourness. Complex, will no doubt further gain depth while ageing. Great balance, great beer. A huge thanks goes out to Lachesis for tis beer.

Bottle at Beerlovers Bar Antwerpen. Hazy brown color with beige head and an incredible lacing. Aroma is red wine, tobacco, wood, a touch rum soaked cherries, chocolate, leathery, superb complexity. Taste is vineous, wood, leathery, a touch brown sugar, tobacco, tannic. Silky mouthfeel with very tiny carbonation. Extremely well-balanced, extremely tasty. Absolutely incredible Oud Bruin, probably the best I've ever had! A masterpiece beyond comprehension, and completely unexpected. And I had thought Oerbier Reserva is the perfect Oud Bruin...

Many thanks to Erzengel for this 2008 vintage bottle. A clear dark orange brown beer with a very small fast diminishing off-white head. Aroma of riped dark fruits, vinegar, wood. Taste of mild tart red fruits, riped fruits, plums, mild vinegar, wood, nice!

Thanks Brad for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing translucent caramel brown with white foam lacing. The nose shows a lot of sweet Belgian yeast. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Lightly tart with strong flavors of Belgian yeast.
