Due to its authenticity, Earthmonk received as little sugar as possible during bottle conditioning in order to preserve all original aromas and flavours. This beer comes with little carbonation and a mini head. Is best served at cellar temperature and poured generously, meaning from a hight of approximately 15 to 20 CM, in an upright standing tulip glass. A big bubbled head will quickly make place for the Earthmonk coming alive!

Bottle at tasting shared by Rubin77, thanks. Sour malty aroma and taste, caramel, tobacco, barrel wooden notes, medium sour. Medium to full body, sour barrel wooden dry finish. Good.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot mate! Lot No. 20180001. Nearly black in the glass only small reddish edges. Short living smallest head. Intensive sour fruity smell. Taste starts dry and tart, dark berrie- and cherryfruity. Increasing dry palate. Malty background. Strong not easy drinking stuff.

2013 bottle, 12C. Very dark brown. A light tan had flashes away immediately. Earthy aroma with mushroom, red wine, balsamic vinegar, medicinal herbs, Dubbin. Low carbonation. Sour, plenty of vinegar but it's soft. Strong bread, stale licorice (in a good way), milk chocolate with edible foil attached, light citrus, oak. Invidious to pick things out because it's complex but itself. Memorably good.

Dark brown. Aroma is balsamico leather toffee oak and some brown sugars. Taste is sweet balsamico and sour vinegar. Full bodied with a bitter and somewhat chalky base. Drinkable. Nice. Fairly close to balsamico but thats not s bad thing

2008 vintage, thanks Fin & Loz! Very dark in the glass, very little head. The aroma is truly amazing / complex! Saddle, cherry, sour, stone fruit pits, a punch in the snoz. The flavor adds caramel at the start, then some light soy, a tiny hint of rubber, great balance of acidity and remaining sugar. Super complex deliciousness!

Bottle, vintage 2013, bottle lot no 20180001, bottle date 01 aug 2018, aged for 5 years on Burgundy wine barrels, 8%. Color: Dark ruby to copper, very thin beige head. Aroma: Tart dark and red fruit, red wine. Taste: Starting medium tart, some vinegar, after some seconds combined with moderate to above moderate sweet caramel and dark and red fruit notes, followed by pretty strong red wine and boozy hints towards and at the finish. Some wood. Dry mouthfeel. Well balanced, although the very long red wine BA is very clearly present but not disturbing. Nice complexity. Medium to above medium body, low carbonation. One of the better Flemish Sour Ales for sure. Very nice.

Red brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have red wine vinegar acidic sharpness. Lots of depth from red fruits and wine.
