Due to its authenticity, Earthmonk received as little sugar as possible during bottle conditioning in order to preserve all original aromas and flavours. This beer comes with little carbonation and a mini head. Is best served at cellar temperature and poured generously, meaning from a hight of approximately 15 to 20 CM, in an upright standing tulip glass. A big bubbled head will quickly make place for the Earthmonk coming alive!

750 ml bottle thanks to Adamchandler. 2011 vintage. Aroma is oak, funk, and old tobacco. Flavor is old molasses, prune, and slight funky oak. Mild sourness. For the style it isn’t terrible.

Dark brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of overripe dark fruits, vinous notes, funk, malt, chocolate, balsamic vinegar and wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and sour. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. It’s been many years since I’ve had this beer so it’s hard to say if it’s a good as I remember in this more recent iteration. It is damn good though!

Vinous fruity, tangy, slightly woody and yeasty spicy aroma, notes of morello, blue grapes, blackcurrant, some black pepper, a touch of nutmeg, plum, oaky overtones. Taste is tart, dry, vinous fruity, tangy, woody, notes of blue grapes, morello, blackcurrant, hints of unripe plum, some black pepper, a touch of nutmeg, some oak. Watery texture, dry, slightly astringent palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Balanced, harmonious, not the most complex Flemish Red.

Bottle at the Zichovec barrel tasting. Thin body, but assertive caramelly-cocoa maltiness. Moderate sourness, combination musky acetic and lacto. Moderate wild barn character. Light oxidation. Old, good. Classic bruin imo.
