Tap @ DC Kanda. Golden pour, relatively clear. Some white foam on the top. Nose has spices, feel light and some dusty rice character there as well. Taste has some sweetness, not very strong Belgian candy sugar nor Belgian yeast - but rice is quite prominent. Not fully convinced it's a good match for this style but basically, why not.As a tripel, not too complex, main thing is that rice character.

Tap at KBC. Bright golden, brilliant and clear. Nose is biscuits, honey, rich malt. Lighter than expected in malt and body, lemony, spicy, honey, a touch of coconut. Crisp and rather light. Finish is just a bit astringent. A little more hop flavor a la Westmalle and it's there.

Tap at Craft Beer Market, Otemachi. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is Belgian yeast, gluey malt, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, with a crisp, yeasty, fairly light, dry, light cheesy palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Golden color, light frothy head. Soft hoppy nose with sweet maltiness, grains of paradise faintly ther but the rice syrup and burnt rice add a nice layer that is a hit hard to describe. Orange peel is much more present on the palate. Full bodied malt but with sufficient bitterness to balance things. Fairly yeasty, modestly dry with just a touch of toastiness hitting the back of the throat. Warming finish. Pretty good. Medium high carbonation. Definitely a new world take on the style, but enjoyable.

Devil Craft x KBC Triple Threat Belgian Tripel 8.5% Clear orange gold in color with an aroma that in first whiff I thought “hoppy” once I had a chance to give it a closer sniff I got honey graham and freshly malted barley. The full body has a raspy carbonation and dry finish while the taste is honey, grains (rye bread like flavor) then a touch of fruit or spices in the finish. Very tasty, I really dig the toasted bready flavor with it’s dab of honey.
