On tap at Håndverksølfestivalen 2017. An unclear deep brown beer with a big, dark beige head. It feels very smooth, if I may say so, on the nose actually, with roasted malts, caramel notes, some coffee and alcohol hints and a generic fruityness. Even some DMS, without that being bothersome. It’s smooth, yet it feels sort of watery, on the palate, neither dry nor sweet, with a full body. Roasted malts, some caramel and coffee and a pleasant fruityness in the flavor. A little bitterness and DMS too, and a lightly annoying vegetal touch. Lasting roasted finish. Not bad, even though there’s some flaws going on. 170610

Poured from a 330ml bottle at Tromsø Øl og Vinfestival 2018. Beige, bubbly head, deep dark brown body, fair lacing. Chocolate malts on the nose, mid-sweet. Rather rich taste profile of chocolate and liquorice with moderate sweetness to it. Smooth malty ending, slightly roasted. Fine bodied. Nice. (Tromsø 21.04.2018).

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy nut brown colour with a huge beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, forest floor and nuts. Sweet flavour of milk chocolate, coffee, lactose, some licorice and ash towards the end. Has a silky mouth feel, medium body and light bitterness. Sweet with roasted undertones. A little infected?
