On tap at the brewery pours out amber golden topped with a sand head. Nose is nice pine citrus hops some sweet caramel malts. Taste is more of the pine citrus forward hops and a well balanced caramel malt.

18/5/2023. Flight pour at Zhang Men Brewery Taproom - Xinyi (Breeze). 9.9% same ibu. Pours clear dark amber with a small frothy white head. Aroma of rich hops, stone fruits, mango, flowers, caramel, hints of pine and soap. Moderate sweetness and medium to heavy bitterness. Quite full bodied, average to soft carbonation. Well done.

Sweet caramel and toffee with some cooked orange rind. Clear copper gold with a rich white head. Sweet, bitter and sticky cooked orange. Very old school.

On tap at Zhang Men, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma is quite malty, with toasted caramel, bready malt, subdued resinous hops, and traces of butter. Flavour is overly malted, with sweet caramel, bready malt, candied sugar, and subdued resinous hops. Sweet, not quite cloying. This is really not what I want in a IIPA - over-malted, under-hopped. Not good.

Draft at the Zhang Men Brewery, Hong Kong. Clear golden amber with a white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, lychee, orange peel and a malt backbone. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at Zhang Men, Kowloon. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, mineral, light tropical citrus, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a smooth, rich, fruity, light pepper spice, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Opalescent golden colour, moderate sized white head; aroma of tropical fruits, celery, some barnyard and brett notes (seems to be intended part of the beer); taste has the same notes with some resiny, orange peel oil notes, hints of honey and biscuits; great IIPA

Poured from the tap. Golden brown with off white head. Sweet malt and hops with some mildewy attic funk. Balance is okay, alcohol is hidden, but neither screams amazing or hop bomb. A little subdued in my opinion.
