18/5/2023. Flight pour at Zhang Men Brewery Taproom - Xinyi (Breeze). Pours black with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of light roasted malt, nut, sweet coffee, mild chocolate, vanilla. Quite sweet with low bitterness. Lacks body, watery, average carbonation. Not so keen on this one. Mrs B’s verdict - bland.

On tap at Zhang Men, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out somewhat metallic notes, with oats, and some earthy notes. Flavour is fairly true to style, with on the metallic side - with oats, earthy oats, and chalk. Just not feeling this.

Tap at Zhang Men, Kowloon. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, earthy, mineral, light charcoal. The flavour is light liquorice bitter with a light roasty, watery palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Not the best stout I’ve ever had

Draught at the ZhangMen taproom in Kaohsiung, on October 5, 2017. As a 250 ml pour for NT$180. 4.2% and 29 IBU.Only listed as "Irish Stout" but I think I've found the signs I cannot read is basically "Fly to Dublin", leaving the beer name for now as for a Chinese reading admin to check and perhaps change.Black color, tan head. Sweet, roasted, coffee taste. Coffee, roasted, grainy aftertaste. Medium light mouthfeel, medium lo bitterness. Roasted, coffee, a tad sweet scent.A nice representation of the style, also a nice beer.7/4/7/3/14=3.5
