Tap @ the brewpub. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich bitter hops, roast malt, chocolate, flowers and fruits. Nice long bitter finish.

18/5/2023. Flight pour at Zhang Men Brewery Taproom - Xinyi (Breeze). Pours perfect black with a small beige head. Super pour. Aroma of citrus, hops, pine, husky fruits, roasted malt, slight soapy edge. Moderate sweetness and medium plus bitterness. Medium body, average finish. Dry, roasted, fruity finish. Enjoyed this.

Dark roast and pine. Jet black with a decent beige head. Roast and some light pine. Very soft for the style.

On tap at Zhang Men - Yongkang, pours black with a small beige head. Nose is full of earthy hops and robust roasted malt in good balance. Flavour is likewise wonderfully balanced, yet packs a punch, with earthy hops, roasted malt, and a hint of bitter espresso. Man, for an imperial black, this drinks quite easily. Impeccable balance and lots of depth. Excellent.

Draft at the Zhang Men Brewery, Hong Kong. Black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, citrus, tropical fruits and coffee. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at Zhang Men, Kowloon. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin broken light tan head. The aroma is malt, light liqouirce, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light roasty, light grassy citrus hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
